After finding the pump would not push fuel I took the pump out of the tank to clean it. After finding that the impeller moved freely but would not turn under power( motor making noise as if working )I believed that the problem was in the sealed motor end and not the pump end. Being a sealed unit and that I could not fix it I ordered a new pump. So while waiting for the new pump to arrive I took apart so for anybody curious this is what the inside of the sealed motor portion of the pump looks like. You can see( hopefully that the brushes are worn out.
