Is a friction modifier required for M998 differentials?

Another newbie question. Does the differentials on the M998 require a differential friction modifier if the 75W-90 Gear Oil does not have it?

I'm pretty sure you only need friction modifiers if you have a limited slip with clutches. Torsen differentials don't need it.

The manual just specifies "GL80". There is no mention of modifiers.

My Tm calls for 80w90.

There aren't any clutch packs in the HMMWV diffs. The torsen diff uses only gears.
