Is this original or later conversion?

I know this is a generator trailer but is the trolly lift system something the military actually used?
I saw this one and saved it from the scrapper. I've seen set ups like this with duals on another style trailer.

Yes it is. That’s a later model no7 wrecker set.
Meant for the back of a truck for towing. It also works good for loading a truck/trailer with stuff, although that’s not the original intent.
