Last Summer, I did a phone interview with a free lance reporter for a paper in New Zealand regarding the invovlement of the MMMT-Michigan Museum of Military Transport in the Hillman, Michigan VJ Day celebration.
I asked how / why this little Northern Michigan town event was of interest "Down Under"
He told me that the name had been changed to a more politically correct 'Victory over the Pacific' down under and that this little town was one of the few left with the (expletive) to retain the use Victory over Japan or VJ Day.
