Hello, I recently found a place that was selling auxiliary fuel kits for NATO style fuel cans. The kits come with a hose, adapter-lid and pickup tube with a screen.
Here's the adapter-lid. It has a small vent hole that is open to the atmosphere, so I'm not sure how this would do in a moist environment.

The pickup tube is just short enough that it won't suction itself to the bottom of a 5gal/20L can or the back of a 2.5gal/10L can. It has a brass screen on the bottom.

It came with roughly 5 feet of hose:

Unfortunately, this kit uses -4 sized fittings instead of the -5 used by the MEP 802/803, 002/003, 831, etc. My local hydraulic shop had an adapter fitting (2406-05-04) for a couple bucks:

Here's a picture of the pieces put together:

I got a pair of kits delivered for roughly $75 -- from our allies across the pond in England.![Very Happy  ](https://www.steelsoldiers.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)
NOTE: Price depends on current USD to GBP exchange rate.
Do a search for "LMS Lichfield LTD jerry can adapter with fuel pipe".
It includes everything except the fuel can and the -4 to -5 fitting.
