Just curious - daily drivers?

So, I'm just curious what anyone out there is using as their daily driver? What sort of vehicle preference does the MV community have?

I've got a 1991 Eddie Bauer Ford Exploder, "It's Official."
http://www.me.mtu.edu/~bjsikkem/Truck/

Mods so far include a CB mounted in the drivers side door (I've gotten a lot of compliments on that one - it looks sweet!), manual locking hubs, and gutting/rhinolining the interior. I also did a lot of cosmetic work over the summer, including a new paint job and a lot of rust removal. It doesn't show on the pictures because of the black trim, but it no longer has any rocker panels below the doors.

I'll be putting new tires on in a couple weeks when I go home for my bro's wedding, and I'm working on a custom intake right now, will probably bolt that on next weekend. 10hp gain from less than $30 in parts... Yeah baby, YEAH! - Machine shop access is always a good thing. Eventually I'm looking at getting a fiberglass induction scoop hood, I'm definitely lifting it someday, and possibly doing more drastic things to it. A lot of that will have to wait until I have another vehicle, though. This one is going to be my weekend fun truck once I graduate.

Anyway, that's me. What's you?

Well dang, I've got a 94 Chevy K3500 crewcab with the 6.5 TD. All stock with Alcoas on it. Around here I drive my M887 and deuce tractor more than the pickup. My goal right now is to find a decent 80's suburban with the 6.2 diesel and convert it to a CUCV type. Either 383 green or nato camo. Recover all seats in canvas and drive the living daylights out of it. Add all the CUCV externals.I'm shopping for the right truck!

Jeepthrills with a Jeep? Didn't see THAT coming!

Very nice, though. I'd like to re-engine the Exploder to a V-8, someday. 4.0L V-6 right now - it's pretty damn good for a V-6, but I always want more! That will DEFINITELY have to wait until I have a second car, though. I can't be without transportation for that long.

I have an M1009 and am still working on getting it running right. Project always seems to get back burnered. As much as I would like to drive it as a daily driver, this darned FL heat can be unbearable. I can't wait to get it running, great vehicle!

Well guys I have a '98 Crown Vic Interceptor as the daily driver. Check it out on my web site. Plus it noses in on several pics of 'Storm here on the forum photos (I think Max(ine) is jealous sometimes).

Very cool, DR! I would love to have a car like that... if I ever get another car, that is. Before my truck I had a Probe, loved it, but at 6'4", I got sick of getting into/out of the dang thing! Getting a truck has been good for my back!

Hey, I've got a 2003 Interceptor out in the yard. Its driven daily but its the company car. If it weren't for all those foolish looking decals and lights all over it, I would use it. Drives nice but people give it a mixed reaction. Either they're trying to flag me down or flip me off. Funny!!

Funny thing is the bus is a true story I bought it as a "Donor" Its a 92 International with a DT466 Turbo, with a Allison Auto trans dang thing has all new tires, and 100,000 on the clock. She'll do 75 down the road $2500.00 for the thing Now everybody wants me to convert it to a motorhome Guess I'll just have to find a new donor for my dump truck So I'll just rename it the "Fool" bus

DS,

Someday I'd like to get a short bus and convert it to a camper. My big project, though, is going to be attaching a gas grill to the wheelchair lift. I get to camp, park, press a button and viola! It's BBQ time! :)

Pretty ho-hum.......

88' Ford Econoline E-150 conversion van, 302, 3 spd auto, slowest brick of a vehicle I've ever owned, but cant argue with the pricetag

Free

From a neighbor who was going to send it to the junkyard, it had no brakes. Problem? $7 elbow fitting, only has 78K on the clock

Prior to that, I had a real nice 77' Firebird that's currently parked out back awaiting a repair after I accidentaly put her on two wheels...... but that's another story........

Someday, DR, someday....

LTRN: My dad had an econoline E150 for a work truck, he put over 300k on it, sold it and last we heard it had over 400 and was still going. Can't argue with numbers like that!
