Mine was under the passenger seat for who knows how long with all kinds of stuff being spilled on it. It is well perserverd. Realy silicone water prooffing spray will work good. Joe

I use Canvac on mine. I also use it on my shelter halves. It's good stuff. I pour some in a cup then pour it from the cup onto the cover. I use a paint brush to spread it out.

I put mine on when the hi temps dropped below 70* the truck stays cool even in the afternoons when it warms up.
"CANVAC" from Cabela's is on mine, and it works well.

Of course I had to have it inspected (professionally) by the cat.
It passes, as usual.
My cat never goes out..It's a sort of house cat. If it does stray out, it usually makes a beeline for the camper, climbs in and goes to sleep!.
