The agency I work for just received a HMMWV from the DLA/DRMO. It's pictured in my avatar.
I am planing on having new tires installed and have been reading about the rims, etc. Is there a way to tell what rims they are and which Oring I will need. I see a red type which I think might be for the newer rims? Is this something that our mechanics should be able to handle or is there something special required due to the runflats, etc.
Also, there are 4 fanbelts. Are these special or can I get them at Napa or Autozone? I think I only see the newer types online. (Serpentine?)
So far, we have changed the fluids, batteries, shocks and have it running really well. Also unbolted the turret armor and gun mount.
Once everything is squared away, I will arrange a paint job.
All costs for this are coming out of drug seizure funds.
