Ah, so a boost gauge is needed in a cranked up engine just like an EGT gauge (pyrometer) is... and the stock deuce engine is just tuned down to the point where it should never get that hot or boost that much, right?

From what I understand. What i am realizing, is that the deuce is designed to be absolutely bullet proof. Having the engine tuned to the point where you have to worry about the EGT when you get on the throttle for long periods of time, isn't really what they were going for i don't think. For most of us, we want more power and we also want to care for our rigs and making sure that they stay in good shape. So keeping engine vitals are essential. It also interesting to see what kind of boost you can get.
