😂 What makes it worse is, my wife is a Physical Therapist. So I can’t get away with anything! Ice it every few hours kind of stuff. But thats why I’m doing so much better than most.
LOL...... know what you mean...... my dad was a PT..... he at times hated that I was tearing my body up as a male gymnast... he held it in though .. untill I finally ask for help. his eyes told the story when he felt I was doing damage though.

Waiting on EUC and starting to get ideas. Found this post and new idea is "Hey I can transport my M1078 myself if Keith can do it". I am in Chicago and picking up around Dayton, Ohio. I have a 9 ton Eager Beaver trailer and a F450. Going back to your first post on this thread can you give me the specs on what truck and trailer you used to haul yours home. Looking to build confidence, " I can doooo it! (I love that movie)

Just a Chevy 3500 diesel and a goose neck farm trailer for hauling tractors and equipment.
put a 9,000lb winch on the front of the trailer and used a snatch block and winched it onto the trailer with a flat front tire. Fun to steer it without the engine running.

A momentous moment in history today! LOL!!!
I converted my title for the truck to an RV!
It’s officially titled as an RV!
I was down at titles today and meant to ask about this. I have to go back with a cat scale reading for my other truck tomorrow and I will ask the fella about it then. I found a manager who was quite knowledgeable (rare here) and he even commented on what a PITA dealing with GP is (they try to pawn themselves off as car dealers who can do title reassignments....but they aren't and can't legally in Texas). I know there is a clause for school bus-to-RV conversions but nothing mentioned about FMVs. The first guy I asked about it five years ago had NO clue. LOL

It was actually very easy here in Florida, fill out this form which you had to make statements saying it has various things that would only be in an RV get a weight scale ticket and pay them money. No inspection or pictures required.

They want cat scales and an inspection here. They look to see if you have any four of like a dozen criteria that meet the req's for "RV" here in Texas (easy list to fill and I'm like 8/12 so all set there). But as I said, they could sort out a school buss (after I showed them where to look) but no clue if they could do an FMV. The guy I spoke with today would know, though (he was on top of the game there).

Should be no issue but these things always depend on which clerk/manager combo you get here.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! After painting the interior waiting for the paint to fully cure. I installed some new side mirrors. One down fall is they add so much wind resistance that the wind moves them even after tightening the spring down. So I’m going to install the third mounting poin that the military didn’t use and put some sort of quick disconnect on it for the times I need to fold the mirrors in.

I fabricated a roof over it to help keep the elements off of it. I also put the condenser on a drip pan with a hose going all the way down along with the interior evaporators drain hose so all the water drains bellow the frame and no water drips up between the cab and box. 1B73ECCF-C119-40B1-B9DC-591510B6D71A.jpeg

While it’s getting powder coated I worked on the Tambour doors for our cloths lockers at the front of the habitat. You can see them from the outside as well. It’s what the original heater and ventilation fan was in. Earlier I removed all the original louvered panels and installed 1/8” aluminum sheets sealed it all up and opened the interior side to make it more accessible. 0BD6290A-0D61-4E27-B094-0A6B0C4BDF5A.jpeg

Did you rebuild/insulate the forward upper boxes that you set up for storage?

My OEM heater up there has never functioned properly (goes to "fault" constantly). And LOL at the massive cavern on the left that holds the tiny 110v fan.

I'm torn between using the space for internal (like you did) or external access stowage. Either way, I have to come up with some solution too insulate the boxes.
