I have been retired for quite a while and I don't have much of a memory but I seem to recall that the large trucks have a three position ignition switch - Off (Stop), On (Run), Start. The operator turns the switch RIGHT to the on position, then turns it further to the right which engages the starter. Once the vehicle starts, the operator lets go of the switch where it then returns to the On (Run) position. To stop the engine, the operator turns the switch LEFT from the On (Run) position to the Off (Stop) position which kills the engine.
Is this correct? If it is, I am searching for this type of switch. I want to use it on my old Case 580B. Can someone provide the part number for this type of switch, or perhaps even a source? Any information would be greatly appreciated. TIA...
