Late fees when Regestering at D.M.V.??

I think it really does depend on the branch and people working there. Don't know anything about California but here in Indiana I've found the ladies at the BMV very helpful. They do whats necessary to get your paperwork through with the least hassle. I have even forgot to renew a registration till months later and didn't get any penalty. If I was in California I'd opt for that private service.

Looked at my registration from my title-only transaction and noticed that I have a bunch of late fees too. Going to have to find out how they calculated them. Sure looks like a lot to me. I received my SF-97 in September I believe, but it looks like they are charging a whole lot more than 3 months.

Anyone else in Louisiana have this problem? And if so, how did you resolve it?
