Hello I have been working on this 5 ton that I repowered with a 2and a half ton motor ,when I installed the motor it ran but injection pump was bad I bought a rebuilt ip and installed it,timed it and bled fuel lines but I am only getting a dribble of fuel to the injectors and it won't start I don't know if I'm overlooking something or what I have never had trouble getting these trucks to start any help would be much appreciated

That's what it seems like is the hh is not working properly but since the pump was just rebuilt I can't think that there should be anything wrong with it.

I'm certain the in tank pump is working but not positive that the pressure pump on the injection pump is what psi should it run at the filters?

Once one breaks into the system the hydro lock on fluid is gone.
Just put a gauge at the secondary filters where that infernal bleed valve exists, Switch to ON and watch the pressure build. The system is self pressurizing but will not move fuel without the in-tank pump putting out.
Putting the gauge proved a few things, like, is the in-tank pump really giving proper suction pressure to the booster pump?
Cheap investigation it is.

Just an update on my injection pump was fine it was just turned down to much to run o I turned it up and got it running.upon getting it running it started missing and smoking like crazy at idle so I performed a leak down test last night and found number six cylinder has a burnt valve,so on to that I suppose.
