FWIW, I would recommend changing the two bolts to studs, sold by a variety of suppliers.

Would be worth the $20.00 cost.

Also consider, changing the Front Shackles to ORD Heavy Duty Version and use the Greasable bolt with nut that are available.

Compare front shackles ..............Greasable bolt

Regards

I just changed mine out last month. I did use the "ORD" kit. Pretty nice kit though one of the zirk fittings blew out when I was greasing it. I also went with the studs. I loctited them into place and after the springs where all mounted I cut the studs down to the proper length.

Do you have a link to those studs? I can't seem to find them online. All I keep finding is the studs for the high steer kits.

For the U bolt nuts? If so, TM-34. Step 11. I think has what you need.

Cool thanks for the specs guy's. However now I have a new problem. I just finished the U-bolt flip when I noticed I have a broken leaf on the drivers side. Where do I find a stock replacement set of leaf springs for an M1028???

Any 73-87 gm 3/4 and 1 ton had 56 rear springs. Very easy to find in the yards still. New replacements are also available. Your local spring shop will be able to rebuild your pack as well.
