My 218 TC has a slow leak up high that looks like it is coming from the seem in the case. Has anyone split the case while the TC was in the truck?

If so anything needed to reassemble other than gasket sealer?

Thanks,
Matt

Before you do that, there is a rubber plug that is pressed into an access hole that is up high on the 218 T Cases. Right side towards the fuel tank and up top. The hole is there for some assembly or repair reason and they just pushed in a rubber plug that is tapered like an old fashioned cork for a wine barrel. They sometimes come out of just shrink with time and allow fluid to escape. You have to feel for it or look with some small camera or mirror. Would be good If this were your problem as it is an easy fix to squirt some goop into that hole.
