DrGreg, You beat me to it, this was the first thing I thought of. I do this for the same reason.Another way to prevent the problem is to blow down your air tanks, after use (as you should), then if the switch is on the low air buzzer will let you know.
How could this happen with fuel ? It's not going to push through the injector pump and do this.Has anyybody think of hydrostaic lock on this ? Leave switch on, electrtic transfer pump fills one cylinder in engine up with fuel, especially if fuel shut of valve leaks, crank engine over and break piston or rod in that cylinder when fuel does not compress between piston and head. And you thoughy alternators were hard to change out . .
