Okay Ladies and Gentlemen we have a problem. We need to call and e-mail the full rules committee hard from now until Tuesday. Over and Over and get all your extended friends to help us. We are caught in a thing called politics and nothing that we can do about it other than make our voices heard. I dont need anybody posting anything political in this thread either. ROBO to answer your question, our bill is now in the house. A house member could try and add an amendment to the bill as was done on the senate side. They vote on the merits of the amendment, then vote on the changed bill if it passes the amendment vote. It happens all the time.

BUT BIGGER PROBLEM IS.............. IF THE RULES COMMITTEE DOES NOT SCHEDULE THE BILL TO GO TO THE FULL HOUSE FLOOR FOR A VOTE WE ARE DEAD.

Is there anyone else that is not getting email updates to this subscribed thread. I have unsubscribed, resubscribed, and I get about one email for every 100 posts off this thread. The only other thread I ever had trouble with was the MV of the month, but I know what that was. A mod deleted my post, where I no longer had a post, there was no longer a subscription. No problem. This one, I cannot figure out. Admin was notified, but declares he cannot find a problem. Just wondering if it is an issue elsewhere.

Its normal: my subscription email says that "I will not get any other email about this thread...bla bla". So you will get one notification and then nothing until you visited the thread, and then you will get another one.

Just a question Swiss - now that the Bill is in the house - is it that it can just sit till a Rep takes charge to present it ? or is it a higher up think like that was back in the Senate where if the Floor did not want to bring it up it would have been dead back there never making it to the House Rules committee.

Unfortunately, as I mentioned earlier, there's no "filtering" of what emails to send, it's all or none from the server. What a ISP or email host does with those emails, I have no control over.
