Is there a way to get all or some of the links back?

Very simple. Each old link always has the https://www.steelsoldiers.com/.../xxxx... structure, where xxx is a number referring to the thread.

No matter what is written in the beginning, just replace everything BEFORE the number starting with the / slash with

https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?

For example,
http://www.steelsoldiers.com/deuce/1...challenge.html
gives a 404 error page.

However,
https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?1...challenge.html

gives a valid link.

You don't have to remember the part you have to insert. Just go to ANY current thread and in the url, just copy the https://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php? part and insert it in the link. Worked for all dead links for me til now. Only thing is you have to keep doing it, its impossible to change all the old links centrally (or at least a lot of work)

Robo has it correct.

I have been editing old posts accordingly, every time I find them. And yes, it is a lot of work and has to be done, one-by-one.
Please feel free to point me to any posts of interest, still containing outdated links.
