It does have eco hubs and seems to drive very nice. I put 1200miles on it over 5 days getting home.

It is a wtec2 with the double digit display. The truck by default starts in 2nd. I never saw it in 7th for the trip. I didn't need to pay much attention to the gearing. It just drove. Inexperienced, I was most comfortable cruising at 55 but the truck could hit 70 pretty easily on a straight away. Never did put it in first, climbed over some rocks on a couple of occasions, that was pretty fun.

1st is manual selection only. It's used to get heavy loads moving on a grade.

With ECO hubs you won't hit 7th gear till about 75 mph. But it will stay in 7th down to about 68. All academic since none of the components care if you achieve the high score on the gear indicator. Engine RPM is all that matters and the ECO hubs shift all the gearing way up the RPM curve and getting that RPM down to peak torque at cruising speed is the difference between 6 mpg and 10 mpg. So don't worry about what gear it's in - just let the Allison manage that for you and enjoy the ride.
