Can someone who has one, please verify the P/N for the non-conductive wrench that fits the load terminals for MEP-002a/-003a? I've looked in manuals and the accessories STICKY above with no luck. I earlier purchased a Box Wrench (PN: 5120-00-138-3790 PN: CTM-282) off eBay that was listed as fitting MEP-002a, among other MEP gensets, and it was much too large! I don't want to make that mistake again.

Load terminal from the MEP-002A: 5940-00-958-1214. Part numbers: DC93M6F-8-RPC and 13208E5820-1
Load terminal from the MEP-003A: 5940-01-009-4763. Part numbers: 69-692-1 and 332-1290

I looked up the -1214 NSN. it appears that the -1214 NSN is the same as 5940-01-009-4763, (same as the MEP-003A) and also the NSN 5940-01-141-3671, 5940-00-177-2668, 5940-00-237-2702
It also shows all the below listed PART NUMBERS.

Then I made the mistake of looking up part numbers. It gets worse. So I went to the MEP-802A parts manual. The load terminal NSN is: 5940-00-958-1214. The same as the 002A and 003A. So, the Non conducting wrench, listed in TM 9-6115-641-24P, 5 KW, MEP-802A, page, (PDF page number) 127, Item #6, Wrench, Box, NSN: 5120-01-373-8976, part number: 88-21146, will fit the MEP-002A and MEP-003A.

So, after a real goat screw, it looks like someone lied to you. 5120-00-138-3790 goes to:
END ITEM IDENTIFICATIONDOD 15KW AND 30KW DIESEL GENERATOR SETS

So if you paid a bunch of money for the darn thing, I think you need to give them a call. Maybe talk about getting your money back.

Thank you Guy! Now I know the one(s) that will fit my -002a. Your knowledge, experience and resourcefulness is a treasure to the Steel Soldiers forum and its members!

Yep, the eBayer that sold me the wrong wrench still has some listed as working on -002a. I am going to message him to remove the -002a so others don't make the same mistake I did. I would send it back to him but not worth the time and shipping cost. I now have a nice non-conductive paper weight with that one.

Anyway, off to purchase the correct one now that you cleared it up!
