Loading ramps for my deuce

Hey everyone I need to find or manufacture loading ramps. I want to haul my M151 to shows and trail events
The unit weights aprox 2500 lbs.
Any info would be great

These are 10 inches wide and 10 ft. Long. They work perfectly on a stock deuce.

I made one set of ramps for a trailer long ago. Used 4X4X1/4 inch angle 12 foot long. I stress them by cutting both legs from 0 to 2" starting 6 inches from 6 foot mark. Cutting this way causes steel to bow. Then tied two angles together using angle and flat bar as necessary starting in the middle and working both ends. Easily Handeled 12,000 pounds. They were heavy but we could load forklift no problem.

Stretch made a set of ramps for his CJ2A and his deuce, out of both rails of a school bus frame.

The trouble with ramps like that is the steep angle and the height. If you make one mistake you can do some serious damage. Loading when the ramps are wet would make for some serious pucker factor.
As stated above finding a bank to load off of is a good idea but not always available on both ends.
Why not use a trailer? Lots of threads on here about putting a Reese style hitch on a deuce or 5 ton.

I kind of agree with WM. The pics of the ramps on a deuce just look like a disaster waiting to happen.

I regularly haul a tractor between my place and my Dad's. I've thought about building a earth loading dock on each ends for the deuce to haul the tractor but like WM says, it's just easier to use the trailer.

I thought of making a loading dock at home on our hillside.... my Kubota 4x4 would jump in there pretty good.

I made my own ramps to load ATVs with. The heaviest ATV is about 800 pounds. I used 2 x 10s cut to the same length as the bed and added a 2 x 4 stringer underneath to stiffen them up. Then I mounted a 2000lb ATV winch on the forward wall of the deuce bed and use it to pull the ATVs up the ramps backwards into place.

At the last SOCAL meet someone used my ramps to unload his mule, so they are plenty strong.

Thats exactly what I did. I have eye hooks on the underside I use to secure the ramps to the deuce. I don't have a winch though. I just drive my atv in. I haven't tried this since I went from 9.00-20s to 395's. Probably gonna be pretty scary with the added height. I may need to build new ones out of 2x12's.

I'm running 11.00 x 20s which are about the same height as 395s.

Loading them with a winch is easier since I have three. Pull them up backwards and just push or ride them out on site. The little quad wouldn't make it up the ramps anyway.

The previous owner of our Deuce put a "custom" ramp mounted under the bed that slides out when needed. Its a really cool design except for the fact that in doing this he torched out a poorly shaped rectangle in the rear of the bed and then put a pretty janky door/hinge combo on it. Also in doing that he cut out the trailer hookup, so its just hanging under the truck right now . I like having the ramp stowed away and available when needed but I absolutely hate that the bed has been butchered up. I'm seriously considering replacing the bed down the road, but I have no clue how much a clean, rust free, bed would cost. Next time I'm out at the truck I'll take pictures of the bed pulled out and the door/hole.

I use it to drive around camp. My son has long outgrown it and I want to use it once in awhile until my grandkids can take it over. They have no resale value.

We back up to a hill at the D-Day park and use ramps about 8 feet long. I know it's not a solution in most cases but if you find a good spot it's well worth it.
