I got the front pulled apart in the M62 today, pictures to come in the thread on it, but I figured, since I am 3 belts and and adapter away, might as well do a front seal, IF it still available.

I did some digging, needed TM 9-2805-203-35P. That supercedes to TM 9-2805-203-34P. Found that in PDF. The part image and numbers are there, pg 39, figure 6, item 20, seal, oil: cover 545203 (19207). I have tried my google-fu and come up with nothing on either number. Tried looking for "R6602 parts" and mess of other ways. Nothing. Does anyone have any idea where I can source a front seal? Eastern Surplus has engine gasket kits on their site, but says to call for price, which usually means not in stock.

Any help will be of great assistance!

The Cage Code tells me it is SKF, that's all I can finger out. I did however do a bit more research. FSN transfers to NSN, which in turn supercedes to 5330-00-912-5141, NIIN 009125141.

Still a dead end.

@Guyfang, I looked for all of the numbers associated with 80201. The description looks like what I need, but 3 of the numbers come up wit no match, the 49292 is a sealed roller bearing.

I did not try the parts x ref sheet Simp made a while ago. Lemme try there.

Suggest you take the seal to Motion Industries or your favorite bearing house. They can “back into” a part number based on dimensions.

This is a list of Cage Codes and the Names of the Suppliers. It doesn't have to be SKF. Try another. Call/email and give them the tech data. Ask them to find something to fit. This part is listed as being used in almost 20 different pieces of equipment.

Well, I can still keep working on the seal number. I made a decision to just put it back together. The reason for this is that when I came back in yesterday, oil was wicking out and running down the snout of the crank. The oil was coming from between the adapter and crank. So, it is my opinion that the seal isn't leaking, it is only wet on the front of the damper.

The bolts that mount the damper to the adapter were not tight. They torque to 30-40 ft lbs. I am thinking that the oil wicked out from between the components and got into the two crimped together parts of the damper and was just getting slung out when the engine ran.

I cleaned the damper well, got it warm to see if more oil came out and it seemed OK. After I put it back together, I painted the front of the damper. Normally, well, not normal, but after runnung, oil would be all over the outside of the rotating mass and slinging all over. After re assembly, I ran the engine to operating temp and around 20 mins longer, that would equal about 2.5 gallons of gas! No oil slinging, the outside of the damper was dry. I also used Ultra Gray sealant in the keyway and around the snout/adapter joint.

Here is what the front looked like before the repair.

I think this part is done, however, if someone has a p/n for the seal, that would be great. I can order it and, incase it still leaks after actual use, it is no big deal to pull it down again and change the seal out.
