Looking for good M880 4x4 near Northern VA

Looking for a good condition M880 Dodge, any of the 4x4 varieties, near Northern VA. Want the vehicle to run and operate correctly, body is secondary but I don't want to need a tetanus shot just from looking at it. Minor rust in a place or two is fine. I don't need a big project vehicle, I already have plenty of projects. What I need is a good, solid -880 to take back and forth to vehicle shows, tow small trailers, and look halfway decent. I'm on a budget, so please, no Alfa Heaven prices. $2,000 or less.

Unmolested M880 are getting harder to find. Seems like people would rather use them for a plow truck or trail truck rather than restoring them. At that rate, there will be none for future generations to enjoy. I hope you find one and I hope you treat it well.

Will do - there's one up in Philly at East Coast Supply that looks pretty nice, for $2750. I've had my eye on that. If it's still around come tax refund time, I think I'll pick it up. 69K miles, but new seat covers, new paint, straight body, good rubber.

Interesting, the pictures indicate that truck is a 77 M882, not a 76 M880

That means previously a radio truck, 24V power system. I'm not sure if it has the overload springs for the shelter, but even if it doesn't, a pair of helper springs will solve that.

Thats kind of a high price for an M880. Try SECO in Augusta GA. He had a row of them at $600 ea.
