I've found a local '85 M1008 with 30,000 miles asking $2,500. The body is in pretty dang good condition. The transmission housing has a crack and leaking fluid. I've been hunting on Craigslist for th400's and found several but they are all from gas trucks. Assuming that my prospective CUCV's torque convertor is fine and can be reused, can I just swap the transmissions?
