Looking to purchase a duece for the first time. My four year old daughter and I love to camp and fish. Don't have alot of money but surely there is one out there that someone is looking to get rid of for a good price. I am willing to work on one or whatever I can do to get one. Would prefer a bobbed one with singles. As close to Oklahoma as possible. Thanks for the help. I am very excited for my daughter and I on this trip. Thanks Zac

Bobbed deuces sell for a LOT more than the regular trucks. Around 2 or 3 times the price of a non-bobbed truck. If you want to save money, buy a regular one instead.

Good luck on your truck hunt. Finding the right one is part of the adventure. Be sure to post photos here when you get one.

I just bought my first Duece this week. Just getting started in this new "hobby". I am wondering how badly i overpaid for my deuce. So I ask, (in order to help ZD) what is a good price to pay for a deuce. I understand the different years and different options will depict pricing, but just some general info might help him. I paid 1500 for a 1952 Studebaker gasser. It has a winch in the front and a winch behind the cab that is huge. It has a gin pole that i plan on using to lift trusses. It runs but is rough, i will send pictures when i can. So there it is ZD, i gave you what info i have as a novice. good luck to you and your little girl. My kids are very excited about it, my 6 yr old is going NUTS. good luck to you

thanks grounded, that makes me feel a little better. after learning of GL auctions i wasn't sure. I have a huge barn i am putting up and the gin pole sold me. But after learning about SS, this is getting interesting.

Dr Funk, you really need to post pics of that truck. If it's all original it should be very interesting. Is the rear body enclosed or open? Thinking old pipeline or V17.

will post pics tomorrow if i can, but i can tell you that the gin pole was fabricated and bolted on the frame. so whatever it originally had behind the rear winch is long gone and i have no idea about it. am thinking of ways to make it multi purposed with flat bed, dump capacity. who knows and i am open to suggestion. just went and got it moving. it is in better running condition than i thought. started right up and has been sitting 4 years. so far so good. will post pics tomorrow .
