Good morning. I did a search on this topic and did not find anything. So, assuming I did the search correctly and it hasn't been mentioned, I thought I'd share. I checked / changed the air filter last night. Air filter looked pretty good (I changed it anyway) but I noticed that the bracket was loose. Looking closer I have several rivets that are starting to pull through the canister. Now, this is a simple fix but as stated, I wanted to share as I wouldn't want any of them being sucked into the intake and running through the engine. Maybe something you'll want to check on your truck. This picture does not show it as loose - it's on the outside that it's pulling out.

Donaldson used to be the best there was.
Maybe getting involved with providing military parts at 10x the price rubbed off on them too.

I walked out and gave mine a quick look on my M-936 and it looks fine. Donaldson's name is on it somewhat proudly and the bracketry is securely attached to the canister. The M-1089 has something similar but with a longer filter. A quick glance doesn't show the manufacturers name on it anywhere. The internal bracket material slops around - so I guess I dig around to see what it will take to repair that.

DangItAll. Better to find it now than when something gets sucked into the motor.

THANKS for sharing Guy!
