You're always funny gimpy.. I'm surprised there is not a thread going about all your different avatars! Always great! I'm sure I'll break something.. But I usually get lucky and it turns out to be an easy fix..

Soak the end with PB Blaster or something like that to help loosen up the nut on the brake line before you try to get it off.

Gimpy, you forgot the breather line...He could break two!

Thanks, I always use that stuff.. Sometimes even a day ahead of time, so it can really get in there.. They were so badly rusted, on one the bolt came loose but a slight twist of the line and I got a pinhole leak. Actually glad it broke! Don't want to deal with a pinhole in the line while driving!

PS: the breather line is not connected to the cap so I guess it may be just one..

I most certainly did not! I posted about it on the 2nd page. I was considering it a brake line though. ;)

I just wanted to wrap up this thread. I rebuilt the MC and now I have the brake pedal pressure again. Another way I knew it was the MC was because I have a MICO parking brake up front. See pic. The line out of the MC goes up there first then back down to the Airpack. When I was at a stop sign the brake pedal was going to the floor, I used the MICO brake and the truck didn't roll when I let off the pedal. That meant that there wasn't pressure loss in the brake lines so it had to be the MC. All is well now with the brakes.. Now I just got to straighten my tie rod and replace a CV boot and I'll be all set.

Thanks again for all your help guys!!

OK, So I was driving the deuce today the most after the MC rebuild. I drove about 15 miles and then after parking noticed the brake pedal was allot higher than normal. But what's normal for me I had brake issues ever since I got the truck in Nov. So I now have very little "play" in the pedal. I drove back home and AutoZone was on the way. I stopped and thought... Perhaps I need to adjust the piston that drives the MC, now that I have rebuilt the MC.. I adjusted it in the parking lot and went home. No issues.. brakes worked well and now I have the proper "play" in the pedal. I figured that since the rebuild it was now working properly..Time will tell I guess.
