Hi everyone:
Sorry if this has been done in another thread, I've searched but can't find any related topics.
I posted in another thread about winning a M109 out of Pineville. Went to inspect it, everything looked OK to where I might want to consider driving it home.
Then, I found an Equipment Maintenance and Inspection Worksheet in the glove compartment, which indicates that the truck will not get over 1600 RPM during operation. The worksheet is old, dated 2005, and does not indicate completion of the repair task.
Now I am not 100% certain, but I don't think the truck has been sitting on the DRMO lot at Pineville for that long. I remember going there about 2.5 years ago and it wasn't there. The truck belonged to an MP unit at Beauregard, so it wasn't trucked in.
I'm just wondering if this problem may have actually been fixed. I guess I will find out next week. We are going to try to crank it, but if it won't I have the Deuce and a towbar to get it home.
Anyone have an idea how serious the problem might be if it hasn't been fixed?
TIA,
LC
