M-1032e1 CUCV 4DR. 1Ton dual wheel 4X4CONTACT

:whistle:Thought all the CUCV guys might get a kick out of my latest project.
I am designating it a M-1032E1 as a truck I always felt would have
been a usable truck in the inventory.......Like things that are a bit different!
I bought the cab and chassis( P-10 forcible ENTRY- crash rescue A.F. Unit) which is a 4 dr.
1Ton 4x4 dual rear wheel truck and am making it into a 4 dr. contact maint. rig.
It has a 454cid carb'd motor,TH-400 trany,np-205 transfer case. Truck chassis
is showing 18,000 mi. (Stored inside for most of that)
I know some of you will feel I am stupid for doing this but it should make one Hella
a recovery rig. popacom / BILL in KY.

The 454 is staying till I drive her a while. With as low milage
as it is has I hate to condem it till I try it......but if it leaves...
a 6.2 will be in its place( got several good T/O's)
As for gen / comp. .......yes......have all the stuff to make it play
off the contact bed doner. Thanks for the feedback guys!

Great project... I have had 454's in several trucks and found them pretty durable and good towing engines, but they do love the high octane gas. Be aware if it is a TBI engine they can have a problem with leaning under load if the fuel system isn't in perfect operating condition.

I like it. The dual rear wheels fit under the bed nicely. Must have been a stake body with narrow rear end instead of the wider rear end like on a dually pickup.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT

always wanted to do the same idea, only put an M1010 ambulance box on the back... then use it to tow a MKT that I would swap the axle over to a civi one with electric brakes

that would make a BITCHIN cookin setup

LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

will be watching with interest

LOVE YOUR SHOP
