is there anyway to salvage a sender's sock or get a new replacement sock ?

15 for a sender where are you shopping everywhere I checked they were at least 80

Yea the whole sending unit is around $75. But the replacement sock for the pickup is about $18. If your sock is clogged and not broken run some carb cleaner through it. The brass cleans up pretty well.
