FYI: After some digging i found the original GM part number 15577535 Injection frame kit with arm solenoid, aldo interchanges with 14067411 & 26214. From what i read its the same for the cucv or civy. Also the other solenoid in the housing is the fuel meter solenoid GM Part # 15578218.

I actually found original GM NOS items online and ordered both for less than $70 shipped.

I just hope the GM NOS is as good as current aftermarket products.. lol

1 more question guys.. earlier in thread i mentiond starter bolt issues, the PO had broken & then tried drilling em out. So. i retaped the hole closest to crank since it was to badly damaged. But i had to drill out the outside bolt hole an use helicoils to repair it. It is holding pretty good but i dont trust it, i have support bracket installed also. I was wondering if anyone had added an extra brace or had any tips on how i could strengthen the starter mounting points. Also what are the pros & cons on gear reduction starters?

thanks

I have done the heli-coil on several units with out any trouble. Did you use new starter bolts and torque them? They should be torqued to 35-40 lbs. And use a flange style starter bolt. They seem to work best. I have put washers on non flange starter bolts. But I always discard the used starter bolts. If it is tight and torqued it should be good. I did not read back but they are M10 1.5 thread Metric bolts. I posted the correct starter bolt size below. Good Luck I hope that helps you. Lately I have been in the same situation with these vehicles being sold not running and everything hacked up and missing. Amaters and shade tree mechanics trying thier best to improve this impecable design of a vehicle. I always stick to the OEM design.Always worked for me. :)
