m1008 straight pipe?

i have a 1986 m1008 and i have a buntch of 3in pipe i want to make into a straight pipe with stacks would this work or would i have proplems with back presure

if its to loud than ill put a muffiler on it but will there be problems other than my hearing
Operationally, you should be fine. It will look odd, subject stuff and folks in the bed to burns (unless running them out the hood) and collect rain water but it is your truck.

Is there any functional purpose for these stacks on a pickup or are they in the same category as 32" rims on an 80s Caprice?

Hey they threw the rules out the window a long time ago. It just depends what you do and who you are. Have at it. A new thread is needed. how to totally screw up and destroy the looks and value of your CUCV.
