Ok here's the deal. I have a 85 k10 that I've been daily driving for about a 1 1/2 years. Well I have a guy wanting to trade me a m1008 that looks to be completely original. My truck has the 305 700r4 np208 with 10 bolt 308s so I'm use to no power...haha. I like the m1008s but I'm not sure what to look for when I go to look at his truck or if I should just keep my truck and ls swap it since I already have all the stuff to do that. I've read several threads on here where people daily drive them and I only drive about 30 miles a day. Any info or experience will be helpful Thanks

your speed will be down to 55 or 60 tops unless you make changes. IF that is ok, the power as far as speed will be the same but your torque, hauling and payload will be much better.

If I get it and decide to keep it I will lift it and probably put some 37s on it so it will help me on my gearing.

I would not expect any fuel economy gains with the bigger tires, because of air drag at the higher speeds and needing a heavier foot on the pedal. If you are raising the truck for offraod capability that will be your improvement. If it's the look your after, then economy is down the list, and not important. Remember the 6.2 doesn't make a lot of HP. Good luck
