Just make sure you disconnect the batteries before you start.....

Yes, I will disconnect the batteries. I do not want to have any more issues.

Another question, I am here at the auto salvage looking for a rear bench seat. Do you know if a bench seat from a single cab Silverado of that year range would work for a rear bench?

Not electrical related, but I did find out why she was riding so rough. The rear passenger shock was completely gone. Well, the shock was there, but the top post had disintegrated from the top connection, leaving it hanging.

For some reason, that will make a truck ride a little rough.
