I've done the search for this problem in CUCV thread and no luck. Removed fuel pressure switch ,taped hole and plugged. Checked the screw for leaks and is sealed good, no drips. Ran and started fine for about a month, then starting after sitting overnight is hard to do. Any time through out the day, no problem, start's on the bump of the key anytime all day long. Next morning hard to start. Have to get it hitting and then floor the pedal to keep it at idle to keep it running then slowly let up when it starts to rev up. Run's and start's fine all day. Check valve is o.k. Time for new lift pump and IP rebuild.? Truck has 103.000.00 on it. Any suggestions. Thanks in advance for reply's. Jerry

Try a simple filter replacement. Air is leaking into the fuel system at one place or another. Fuel filter area is most likely. The reason you probably had a difficult time finding anything was from people using crappy titles in their threads.

The fuel pickup tube on the top of the tank is known to rust.
