M1010 Electrical,

I found some wire casing damage at the firewall that could have turned into a 'short' like you describe.

The way mine vibrates and hums it's a wonder casings stay on the wires.

I think I've touched every connection on the truck and so far it's worked. Removed and replaced grounds, leads, connections and did it all over again as often as possible.

Let us know what you found but you may need to chase a few hundred feet of wire and touch every connection.

Welcome to the world of M1010 electrical system. I heard somewhere if it's electrical clean it. But I don't know if he owned a 1010. I think m1010plowboy has you on the right track.
