M101A1 Lunette Nut?

Hi all,

I've been searching for a long time trying to locate an M101A1 lunette nut. The one on my dad's trailer is pretty much destroyed. Clearly the nut wasn't removed in the 40 years the trailer has been in use. Any suggestions on where to buy a replacement?

I was reading online that the M105 trailer's lunette nut is the same size as an M35 lug nut. Is this the same with the M101 trailers? It may be easier to locate deuce lug nuts than a locking lunette nut.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah they are really hard to find!

I found a local tire shop that works on large truck tires and they had some lug nuts that fit. The guy gave me two and I put one on and used the other as a jam nut.

Unfortunately they were busy and they didnt tell me what they were called.
I think they are 1 1/2" 18tpi
If you dont bring the lunette with you make sure you get right hand thread nuts!

The thread is , National Extra Fine. Mike is right on the rest. Any heavy truck store will have the lug nuts.
