M101A3 Cargo Cover Question

Got my NOS cargo cover today and I'm curious about sizing and the bows. The cover is about 3-4in to long on each side and about 3-4in to long in the rear. The cover was sealed in the package with the correct pt #8382966-2 on the label. When I got the trailer it did not come with a cover, but had everything else. The bows where install backwards, got that straitened out. But I feel there's still something out of place.
Thoughts?

My brand new in the box M105 cover is the same way... just looks a tad bit sloppy... its probably a design feature

I have several m101 covers and some are longer.
It depends on who made it. I think it is just a manufacturer variance in the design.

Well, I ended up modifying the bows. I raised them about 2.5in and the fit is much better

It was pretty simple. I drilled 2, 1/4 holes on each side of the bow. The 1st hole was 3/4 of an inch up from the bottom of the bow, and then I spaced the 2nd hole 1in up from that.
