Ok, bought new batterys for our truck and installed them. Truck ran great with no issues. Went to start truck and turned on key, everything cycled as normal. Turn to the start position and it melts the positive post on the rear battery. It arched. Where do I start looking for the issue? Was thinking maybe a short in the battery as the front battery is just fine.

Did you check your diode plates and regulators in Gen 2? Maybe blown! Had years ago a simelar problem.
