The component which failed is a diode, the member/vendor who makes new units sold by Hillbilly Wizard says it is a 24 volt Zener diode. It only functions as a freewheeling or snubber diode to clamp harmful voltage created by the solenoid when it is deenergized, protecting the transistor.
Any standard power diode will work, the one in my card is such type, not a Zener. The nearby resistor is also damaged, 5100 ohm. This is for a switched 12 volt signal which turns the system on.

If this diode is damaged to short circuit, it will cause the GP relay to engage all the time.
