M1028 Passenger Side Mirror Glass

Dang it..... My dad literally said he closed the door and watched the passenger side mirror glass plummet to its doom. It seems that the adhesive failed due to age.

Where can I get a new mirror glass for the passenger side? And what do I use to secure it to the mount?

Also, my rearview mirror needs to be reattached to the windshield. What do you suggest to reinstall it, do those rearview mirror kits work or should I use something else?

There was a thread about this not too long ago. LMC truck has the entire mirror assembly for $20. Otherwise I think it was autopartswarehouse that had just the glass, but it's $10 more than the whole LMC unit.

I found a mirror glass at the local auto parts store for mine, attached it with silicone. I used rearview mirror cement on the rearview to attach that.

Replacement mirror for $6 or $8 on RockAuto. You will have to measure before you order, I think there are 3 to choose from. Very happy with mine.

My truck is a M1008. I would go by measurements, but your mirror is probably the same size. The mirror came with 3M tape and it hasn't come loose yet.

Yeah I used your thread and mirror suggestion to find the NAPA one. I'll measure it before I buy it.
