m1028a1 np205 extension housing cracked

Bad news: the extension housing on my np205 transfer case is cracked. The housing is about 6 inches long, cast aluminum . I could see this coming as the driveshaft was bent when I bought this from GL. Way to go guys with the forklift unloading!
My local chevy dealer says the part is discontinued, but I can't find the part # in the TMs, only for the NP208s. This is in my '86 M1028a1. thanks for any advice on where to look for one. Is this a military version only extension or a 1 ton diesel 4x4 auto only thing? My 72 K10 and 87 civil 4x4s both have NP205s but different nosings (extensions) much shorter. thanks again.

The rear drive shaft on my 1028 is bent. Another forklift victom! And i'll be swapping to the old stlye tail shaft on mine. I think they are much stronger! My tailshaft looks ok but i like the stub and slip yolk much better.

Found the extension at a local Truck Junkyard, $30.00 pulled. BTW here she is, a far cry from back in April.

Sold to a fellow in Tenn. The money ($400.00) went back into the truck.
