Will be doing more investigation today. looking for black Or burnt spot with such a loud boom occurring.
To confirm battery condition will perform carbon pile test on both batteries to confirm condition.
My set up does have the dog head conversion.

Thanks.

Well one battery did fail the carbon pile test . so most likely the cause of issue.
but while I'm into it, let's clean up some of the other Terminal issues,
Like the headlight fuse, that terminals melted Along with fuse block where that one goes. going to pull another separate fuse Holder and wire that it's 25 amp, When I got the truck somebody had a 30 amp in there real good.

You have a bad cell in one of your batteries. I had the same issue several years back. To be safe, spend the money and replace both batteries.

How I know this is?
I was a cheapskate driver back in the 90s with my Ford F250 diesel. It wouldn't start on a cold day so I replace just one battery with a new one. What I didn't know was the other original battery was also weak or bad and it took the life out of the new battery. I ended up burning up both batteries and my starter.

Cost to me was lesson learned

Also; even with the "Dog head conversion", the relay could still weld itself closed while cranking with low battery voltage.

How I know this is?
Lesson learned

Yes getting ready to go buy 2 batteries it was crazy how the voltage was there threw me off until I carbon pile tested
