M1078 won't start & no lights etc.

It was a loose wire on the back side of the ignition relay

Can you describe the loose wire on the back of the relay? Pulled out of the back of the PDP or loose contact?

I had my brake lights stop working and using the -20 found the brake pedal switch to relay didn't have contunity so I used a jumper wire in its place. I checked the connections on the back of the relay PDP panel but didn't see anything obviously loose. Just wondering if I missed a loose wire.

The plastic tabs that hold the contacts in can fall out and the contact slip back. If the panel got wet in the past there can be green corrosion on the contacts. The contacts and tabs are replaceable.

Hello can anyone out there help me? I am looking at a 1088 I will buy if I can get it running.... I only haver tomorrow to figure it all out and get it running.. I have new batteries but can not seem to get any power to anything!!! also I can not lift the cab due to a leak in the hose at the cylinder. is there a way to get the cab up with a bottle jack or and what should I start looking for with the Power ??? Thanks

why dont you start a new thread instead of digging up a 3 year old one... You might get more replies.

you need to fix the leak as no pressure = no cab latch release.

What year truck? With batts connected do you have 12 and 24V at the test points in the power panel?

Answere these in a new post!

not sure if it works on an A1... think it would..... works on an A0... Id say bypass the reverse polarity thingabma bobber under the spare tire. hook on 12v together that go to an from it.... same for all 24v together that go to and from it. of course wrap the homemade junction up well so your not shorting too anything.

before doing this of course... see if you have power coming into that.... and out on both the 12v side and 24v side. Also check to make sure batteries are correctly hooked up and the polarity device wired up correctly.... do NOT assume... if they are wrong this may be forcing the Reverse Polarity device to shut off power to everything.
