M1084A1 Refusing to Move

I have a 2004 M1084A1 that has been sitting for about 4-5 months through the winter season. Engine cranked and idled at least once a month during that period. But, now when I engage the transmission (both drive and reverse) the truck refuses to move. Not sure if it is a transmission issue, or maybe the brakes seized (caged?) or other drivetrain components "broke" from the truck sitting static for a few months. Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!

Probably your rear shoes have stuck to the drums. Climb up under the axles and see if the shoes retract when someone operates the button. If not try whacking the drums with the brakes released, (chock the wheels!!!). Might also try to break the shoes loose in 1st gear full throttle.

Yea, probably rear shoes fused to drums. any transmission codes? Press both arrows together to enter diag mode. display will show D1 and 2 sets of numbers if any codes are stored or - - if no codes are stored. Press mode to step thru memory locations D1-D5. Press both arrows to exit or turn off the ign.

no codes, fill up the air tanks, chock the wheels, release the brakes and ring the drums with a hammer. Then select mode, 1st and depress the accelerator to get to peak torque…

Not sure if it's the same with these, but the fire dept trucks broke shoes free much easier in reverse.
