Here they are..... We got creative with the walls and used tent halves. Now it will feel like a high class tent lol:beer:. All we have left is to finish the solar panel thing and put shelves under the countertops if we have time.... Oh and one more surprise.......

That lil rascal tried to eat me at Zout's AO!!

I was shocked...animals usually love me...people not so much...

That was because someone was hording all the cookies and brownies to their truck - and they were following for their share - they followed the crumb trail

Great job on the interior and only a few more days till ya break it in.

I am sorry but after all the work you did totally rebuilding the exterior I expected more from the interior. Maybe FRP or Paneling or Metal on the walls. I am not saying you have to go crazy with moldings and trim like one member did but this was like using a brush to paint a Ferrari.

I am just giving my honest opinion. I am also concerned about the fact that you did not seal in the foam insulation. it may have toxic vapors given off when not enclosed.

Well it was quick, super cheap, and also not permanant so we can change it later very easily if we decide to. I appreciate all opinions. And as far as the insulation, when it cures, which is less than a minute after being sprayed, its done, no vapors, no nothing. The pictures don't do it justice. We haven't installed the lights yet so it was a little dark...It is the look we want for now.

One thing when you go to install and electrical or plumbing all you have to do is cut out where its going, install and re spray and your done. I had my roof done with it. We built a 2x6 frame over the existing roof, the guy sprayed the roof and left a kid there for 2 days with a 4' serrated knife to cut down and level all the foam. You will be impressed with the quality. Martha Stewart might not like TENT HALVES for wall coverings.

Better Homes & Gardens Magazine might not feature your MV Conversion in their next issue.

This Old House won't be doing an installment on your renovation.

BUT....

It's YOUR MV and you've done a GREAT job of using mil-surplus material for an authentic "experience" within your custom conversion.

A BIG THUMBS UP for your creativity and "recycling" efforts [thumbzup]:jumpin::driver:

I like it

I like it. It looks like it would feel (if any of that makes sense...) pretty comfy in there. It gives you texture and pattern and color on the walls all together...no expensive paints needed. Cute dog, take lots of pics of him now, because later you will wish you had more.

Its not the Canvas Cave....its the M109C....C for canvas...fat lady sings could be dropside too, but that would be tricky.

I like it, kinda has that hole camping out side but with out having to wherry about the waterproofing hold up to the rain. Kinda also looks like your camping in one of those tents they camp in on the African Sierras.

My soon to be wife has fallen in love with a m810 and in the spring we will be going to Kansas to pick it up to do the same or similar to what you have done.

You two have done an awesome job together to bring this 109 into what you want - with what you have available at the time - and with what time you have to be able to do it - GREAT JOB. But this is only from a spectators point of view and take it however you wish - but I for one like it.

Not everyone has the resources - time - money - what you want available when the time comes to do what you want to it - and to top it all off - you both did it together as a family and I for one see it for what it is. Again - Great Job.

That foam has got to make a significant inprovement in the walls and if it were available way back when - the military would have used it. The residue checmical Formaldahyde is almost non existant as soon as it dries it the open air - meaning you will not need medical attention from the 43 over there and the para medics - that is good news - but you will be sleeping like babies with no noise coming and thundering through the wall of the 109.

Thank you for the kind words, coming from you it means alot:-D. Oh and the sound deadening is great, standing next to it with the door closed, someone speaking inside at normal sound levels, you can just barely hear them. [thumbzup]
