Finally got my steering safe to drive and power steering 100% free of air and I could hit the road foul speed. This whining noise intensifies with RPMs.My power steering works fine, charging is within green field so I wonder if this could be one of the serpentine belt wheels.I have not changed serpentine belt yet (it is on my list)
Transmission also seems fine ,I have all 4 gears shifting smooth.
I can not wait for this truck to become my everyday thing .
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. https://youtube.com/shorts/cs4ZyZeaRU0?si=LxgadNeksFL4k9p3

old school check for the belt is have a bar of soap rub on the inside & outside of a serpentine belt. If noise goes away, rubber is suspect old. Won't fix a bad pulley, bearing, tensioner ,etc
Noise to me on video sounds like Transmission / Differential / Hub gear & drive train associated
YMMV

Loosen the hose clamp that holds the round gold colored valve ( right by your windshield washer fluid tank) Slip some rubber between it and the body saddle it sits in and see if that reduces the noise. You could also just take it loose and wrap a rag around it for testing. If the noise goes away when the fan kicks in then that is for sure what you are hearing.

Sounds pretty normal to me for a truck with the remote PS reservoir, maybe a little more pronounced than usual, but does not sound like a "present danger" sound.

That is definitely a hydraulic pump noise, could be the trans but most likely the steering pump, some are just noisier than others, if it were the Cadillac valve the noise would drastically change as the fan turned on and off.
