M151A2 in country

Just thought I would share, over the years a number of guys have stated there were no A2's in country. I heard from a guy that was in my company in Nam, he send me a pix of one of the guys that got a rear job as the commanders driver. That jeep is an A2, the time frame of this pix is 1971 with D Co. 1st BN 7th Cav, 3d Bde (Sep). 1st Cav Div.

A2's in country

Here's some more A2's..this time in Pleiku

Those guys are from the 82nd Airborne, they were attached to the 1st Cav. The reason I know that is; when I left nam and went back to the 82nd Airborne, I ran into a trooper wearing a bonnie hat with a Cav patch on it. When I asked who he was with in the Cav, he stated they were assigned to the Cav while on Tem. duty. Those TOW jeeps were rushed to Nam for the Spring Offensive.

A2s weren't common in Vietnam, but they were there.

They all most certianly had to be Ford A2s also. Just as a side note as AM generals were not made until late 71
