m200a1 dolly

I am turnin a m200a1 into a dolly for the m146 im tryin to figure out how far forward to mount the fifth wheel. i think it should be slightly in front of the center point of the axle but how far i dont know. Anyone want to chime in on this

You really don't want it to go behind the axle, that would cause the trailer to flip up the front of the dolly. Might want to put some sort of stop to keep it from going back behind the axle.

In pic #2 I would WATCH out for those frame ends with the lights, and the lift eyes, no sweat on flat ground, but going though a ditch, or other then flat operation, there is a good chance those ends will get into the under body of the trailer, this is why most dollys don't extend very far behind the 5th wheel.
