Howdy folks thought I’d drop in and sign up to your awesome website. Somehow I’ve managed to get myself a barnfind m201b1 m37 1962. Not quite sure which direction to go yet. A good cleaning first then get a game plan. A lot to think about. Thanks for allowing me aboard!! Have to thank my friend from work Mike who is helping me get her running. He’s also a member here and has a deuce.

So, first out of the gate: Welcome to the Outfit! .

Wow! That is neat for sure...
It almost looks like a mechanics service truck. Might be or not.
Congratulations on your rescue!

I don't know about you, but somehow getting the motor to crank or not seems to be first priority. Being able to hear the quiet rumble will help you stay motivated too. Maybe pop the plugs out and squirt several shots of Marvel Mystery Oil in there and let it sit. Then do that a couple more times - and see if you can turn the motor over by hand. Depends on how much stuff you got with your truck - but you might even have the manual (hand) crank handle that plugs into the crankshaft. If it turns over it might be worth playing some more.

Maybe disconnect the fuel line - guessing that it has rust in the tank - and see if you can bottle feed it with the magic of gravity.

You definitely have some work to do, but I think you got one heck of a truck!

Very nice find !!! rare MV , looks pretty complete , does it have a PTO generator welder ?? also looks like it has a fender heater . Nice find . That might also be the LINESMEN truck . Welcome to the site .

Very nice find! Especially upstate... I used to live in the Poconos and would drive to the finger lakes area just aboir every day for work.

im thinking it is the linesman model. It’s really solid dispite the missing box door. I think I can make one fairly easily. All 4 corners are straight.! Going today to get the rear wheels unstuck from 40 years of sitting. Bring her home! Thx again!

I’ll have to look into the welding generator. That’s be cool to have. I have a welding business and this will be my new road/farm/mobile repair truck. Can’t wait!

Thank you! I think I did well also. I’m making the seller a nice smoker/bbq in trade . Yes just about 500 made. I’ll do my best to give this truck the love it deserves for its service to our country. Peace!

Welcome. I’m from near Oneonta. I may have a rear axle for your M37. If you care to make the trip I’ll let it go cheap.

Alrighty then! Got her home this weekend. The COPIOUS amount of tar someone graciously slothered on the undercarriage preserved the WHOLE frame nut bolt spring everything amazingly well. It actually appears all original to my untrained eye. The winch has been torn in half somehow and the frame is tweaked outwards in the process.. Ill take pics and get the winch off to see if its fixable. LU4-R serial number #5218081. The frame I can fix.. Maybe I could get someone to measure the O.D. Between the frame rails so I can tweak back to spec. and remount winch.. Other than that It needs alot to get going again but im up to the task!!!! I think?.....
